In The Beginning.....
It was just me and my 16 month old daughter Sarah. I had moved from Long Island to Florida leaving
behind all my family and friends to pursue a life I could afford to live as a single mother while keeping
my child out of daycare. The year was 1991.
Upon arrival, Equestrian Studies/Business Administration degree in hand, I purchased a truck, trailer
and three ponies. Joker, Cookie Monster and Sugar Bear. These kind and gentle ponies started my
business. Cookie Monster, now 26, resides here on our farm living a well deserved retirement. Joker is
buried here having lived an incredibly long life in excess of thirty years, and Sugar Bear was retired
several years ago to a home with small children who needed a quiet lead line pony.
I did things a bit differently back then. It was all a learning process of what worked best. I learned
through experience how to refine the business to best suit the desires of our clients.
